E-Trade Desk ASEPIO – Alcantarilla

Mr. Antonio Castillo, Treasurer of the World Trade Point Federation – WTPF and of the Ibero-American Trade Points Agency (OICEX), signed, during his institutional visit to the city of Geneva, the agreements and documents related to the constitution of the ETrade Desk ASEPIO-Alcantarilla.
This institutional visit also included Mr. Luis Padrón, President of the Gran Canarias Chamber of Commerce and member of the WTPF Board of Directors.
WTPF’s E-Trade Desk program offers a series of efficient and participatory methodologies to support SMEs in electronic commerce cross-border, its digital transformation, and facilitate access to international markets through the use of new technologies.
The constitution and implementation of this E-Trade Desks represents a milestone in the development of the WTPF, since it is the first one under this initiative whose objective is the strengthening of the Global Trade Point Network (GTPNet), next year, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the International Symposium on Trade Efficiency held in Columbus, Ohio, during which the Secretary General of the United Nations, Boutros Boutros-Ghali announced the official launch of the GTPNet to formally interconnect Trade Points around the world.
The World Trade Point Federation is an international non-governmental organization established in 2000 in Geneva, Switzerland, in accordance with Swiss law and registered with the main objective of taking over the management and development of the innovative Trade Point Program of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
WTPF holds Consultative Status at ECOSOC and as such contributes to advancing United Nations goals and objectives.
