The Chongqing Representative Office of the World Trade Point Federation has officially been set up in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing 7 April, 2025

Zheng Hang, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, held a conference with Bruno Masier, President of the World Trade Point Federation (WTPF). The two parties held in-depth discussions on topics such as deepening international cooperation, promoting the globalization development of enterprises, and jointly building a digital trade service platform, with the aim of seeking new cooperation opportunities and jointly constructing a new blueprint for open development. Jiang Hua, Director of the Modern Service Industry Bureau and Director of the Free Trade Office of Liangjiang New Area, Li Guoqiang, Deputy Director of the Modern Service Industry Bureau, and Ms. Carolina Quintana, Director for Asia Pacific of WTPF participated in the conference.

Functioning as a crucial bridge between enterprises and the government, as well as between enterprises and the market, particularly the international market, it is committed to supporting and promoting the sustainable development of international trade. Moreover, it will play a significant role in facilitating high-quality Chinese products, brands, and culture to expand globally.

World Trade Point Federation, as a global trade promotion platform, will leverage its global network to help enterprises in Liangjiang New Area and western China compete globally.

Deputy Director Zheng Hang said in the conference that Liangjiang New Area, as one of the first batch of pilot areas for the innovative development of trade in services and an area for deepening the pilot in China, and an open highland accounting for half of Chongqing’s total trade in services, is actively building a connection point between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and is committed to promoting the high-quality development of the regional economy through international cooperation.
