Hosted by the World Trade Point Federation, the 5th “Beijing International forum on Creative Economy” was held on the digital platform of China International Trade in Services Fair (CIFTIS) on the afternoon of September 7, 2020 under the theme of “scientific and technological innovation promoting a sustainable future”. Nearly 100 representatives from the United Nations Conference on Trade and development, EU experts, as well as representatives of domestic and foreign trade associations and enterprises participated in the online forum.

At the forum, president of WTPF Mr. Bruno Masier, Representative of UNCTAD Mr. Tiuna Benito de Fernandez, and the inspector(Level II)of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau Mr. Ding Jianhua, addressed the forum respectively.

The expert of EU, the director of Trade Points, leaders of foreign trade associations and representatives of science and technology innovation and design creative enterprises from overseas and domestic delivered speeches and promoted related projects on the topics of innovation, creativity, promotion of new technology application. Mr. Dourgam Kummer, Representative of the OISTE Foundation delivered a message via video about digital identity. Ms. Carolina Quintana, the Coordinator of Partnerships and Networks from Creative Economy Programme, UNCTAD, shared the work of the Programme and delivered final remarks. She expressed the hope that the forum would be held in next year, so that we could continue the discussion on the development of Creative Economy.

The forum was organized under the auspices of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and organized by Trade Point Beijing, Trade Point Shanghai, Beijing International Economic and Trade Development Association and Marco and World Market as media supporters.
